Recent Updates to Gatheredtable (Summer 2016)

Our goal is to help more households cook and eat homemade meals – and we do this by making meal planning as simple and easy as possible. To that end, we’re constantly making updates to and our mobile apps (for iOS and Android) to make things easier for you!

Here’s a rundown of what we’ve updated recently…

Change the number of servings on a recipe

One of the most common questions we hear from you is “How do I change the serving size of a recipe?” We knew we had to make this feature more obvious and easier to use, so now when you view any recipe you’ll see a servings adjuster right there on the main page of a recipe. Learn how to adjust recipe servings on Gatheredtable.

Simpler menu editing with better recipe suggestions

We recently made a big update to the way the menu planner works, helping you organize by meal and putting recipe suggestions in your planner view so you can drop them right into your menu. But last week, we make recipe suggestions even better – putting more weight on ingredient seasonality and also recipes that are recently trending in our community. Log into your planner to check it out.

Shop faster with a better-organized grocery list

Our grocery list was already smart… It adds up ingredients from multiple recipes, rounds up to the smallest buyable quantity, and organizes your grocery list by grocery department. But we made it even better! Now the list items in each grocery department are also grouped by aisle. So, all of your spices will be together, all of your cheese together, and all of your canned goods together. Give it a whirl… Shopping has never been so fast! (And don’t forget to use the grocery list on our mobile app, too.)

Psst… You might also notice that printing your grocery list is WAY BETTER, too! Checked items are hidden, and it prints in 2 columns. So most weeks, your list will fit snugly on one page!

We hope you love these updates and feel the difference when you make your weekly plan. Be sure to let us know what you think and get in touch with any questions or ideas. You can always reach us at
